The Solid Rock Youth is closing out '05 with two great events. This Wednesday we are hosting our 16th Senior's Dinner. It's a night where the SRY help prepare a full turkey dinner, serve and entertain our special guests. It's a great SRY tradition and it takes all of us to make it happen. The decorating and set up crews are working on Tuesday night, and the food preparers, servers and clean-up crew are on for Wednesday.

The dinner begins at 6pm and lasts until 7:30. The clean-up crew (and everyone that is still hanging around) then finishes things off by 8:30. One important thing to remember is that we ask each person (or family) to bring a pie for desert. (don't forget the pie!)

Our final event of 05 is a first for us. It's a "Happy Birthday Jesus" party taking place this Sunday the 11th. The birthday party includes cake, games, a movie, and hats!! The movie will be the 3:30 matinee showing of "Narnia" and youth are asked to meet at the church at 1:30. We will start our party at the church then transport everyone to the theater. The movie is 2 1/2 hours long so you will need to be picked up from the theater by 6:15.

The cost for the entire day is $8/person and this includes your ticket, and birthday cake (not your movie snacks though). Bring along $8 this Wednesday to make sure that you get your ticket reserved because this will be a busy movie and you might not get in if you try to buy it on Sunday.
