This Friday night (October 28th) will go down in history as the first ever Solid Rock Cafe! It's going to be open from 6-12 and will feature drinks, snacks, music, and good times.
This is the first of what will be a bi-weekly cafe. Ever other Friday night you'll be able to come by and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. Come to study, come to hang out, or come to enjoy the music and other entertainment we'll be having.
The Solid Rock Cafe is run by Banana Productions, a group of senior high students from Solid Rock Youth. And in case you didn't know (how you couldn't escapes me) they are selling t-shirts as well!
We'd love to see you there so please stop on by!

Yeah, it was a great turnout and a super awesome time. Hopefully everyone else had a good time too. Next Cafe....Nov. 11th!!

I can't wait!! The café was great. The music was awesome, and the whole atmosphere was so cool. Other than the fact that Garret was going to power-boss anyone who crossed his "line". But yeah, the turnout was great, but we should promote it a bit more in the schools to get more people to come on out. I was thinking we should have some kind of "fun" theme each week just to mix things up a bit... like maybe one week we could have a karaoke type thing, another like a dance-off... something like that.
John - October 29, 2005 2:26 pm
Yeah thanks for the ideas Lindsay, we were thinking about having a karaoke night sometime also. Oh and Garrett did powerboss Emma for crossing the line hahaha.
Emma - October 29, 2005 2:36 pm
Powerbossing should not be allowed!
Dan James - October 29, 2005 3:01 pm
Does anyone have any digital photos of the night?
John - October 29, 2005 4:06 pm
It was clearly stated on the tape not to cross it or you would be powerbossed. YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER!!!
Jeff MacKenzie - October 29, 2005 5:17 pm
You did break the rules emma...
And thanks a lot lindsay. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. Also, thanks for being the first ever costumer to come to the Cafe!

While the power-bossing was neccesary, I feel I may have used excessive power-force and I apologize to Emma. However, anyone who crosses the line at future cafés will indeed be power-bossed, but as the distributor of the power-boss I will be taking a different approach.
