It should be known that the following post was written by Jeff McGuigan. (with my permission).
I agree and support all of the above comments except when it comes to the COUCH!
Awesome is not the word I use to describe the couch which is now taking up precious space in my office.
Jeff McGuigan - February 3, 2006 3:54 pm
What ever Chris. I don't think you know what you're talking about. I mean, you're abviously lieing through you're teeth. I'm sitting on the couch right now, and I'm not in your office.
I thought this website was a place for people to come together and share good times. Not blatently discriminate against the properties of others. Not cool man, not cool...
Chris - February 3, 2006 4:03 pm
I'm going to try to take the high road on this one. The couch has been moved from my office and now sits in the cafe (where young people are being forced to sit in it, and say nice things about it).
This website is dedicated to the encouragement of others so if I've said anything about the couch that has hurt anyone's "over-sensabilities" then I'm truely sorry. If the couch makes you happy then that's great. Even better yet, if the couch makes you happy...take it home with you!
Jaclyn - February 3, 2006 4:10 pm
If the couch makes me happy, can i take it home?
Jeff McGuigan - February 3, 2006 4:25 pm
Wouldn't you rather share the wonderful couch with the entire youth group? That would be the true kind, sharing, christian thing to do. Let us not judge by apperance, and be kind to all.
Chris - February 3, 2006 5:20 pm
Well said Jeff.
The kindest, most sharing thing to do would be to let Jackie take the couch home if she really likes it. Please Jackie...really like it!
Jeff McGuigan - February 4, 2006 10:44 am
Actually Chris, the couch had people on it from 6:30 until 12. Looks like you're pretenses are truely exposed. And if it wasn't amazing it wouldn't have been front page Guardian material; is someone angry that they didn't get enough interview time?
I guess we'll have to talk about all these issues sometime...
Jeff Mackenzie - February 4, 2006 10:59 am
First couch filled up again, Chris. Wait till you see the videos...
And there was no force applied, whatsoever. They just sat..we just asked questions.
sarah - February 4, 2006 1:13 pm
i'll take the video wednesday to Youth Group, stil on the camera completely unedited!
Jaclyn - February 4, 2006 1:13 pm
I read the article in the paper a few minutes ago...it made me smile really big. I laughed really hard about that couch thing. Plus I loved that picture of Jeff and Kyle.
Carver - February 4, 2006 2:27 pm

Jeff McGuigan - February 4, 2006 2:30 pm

Dieter known as Pedro now - February 4, 2006 9:56 pm
Hey Gang
Great news about the article. You guys rock! Million Dollar Smile? Awesome Couch? Hmmm, must be the artistic licence of the author of the article.
Anyway, greetings from El Salvador. Take Care.
And Chris, send the couch this way, there are people here that would really appreciate it. That would be the real christian thing to do.
Connor - February 5, 2006 1:48 pm
I just wanted to say hi to Jeff "Mr. Million Dollars" MacKenzie and Kyle "Soft Spoken" Smith.
Nice work guys!
Carver - February 5, 2006 2:06 pm
Hey 'Pedro now' good to hear from you, whats the story behind the name change
Emma N. - February 5, 2006 11:10 pm
Saw the article in the paper! Good job guys! =)That's awesome!
Pedro Negro - February 6, 2006 2:13 pm
Well apparently Dieter Schwarz is to hard to say in Spanish, so Dieter turned into Pedro, and Schwarz which is german for Black turned into Negro in Spanish.
I guess I have been called worse.
Cheers, keep up the good work.
Chris - February 10, 2006 3:32 pm
We should point out the the word "negro" in Spanish is pronounced differently than our way. The e is short not long. We wouldn't want Dieter given a name that is mis-pronounced (or offensive)
Dieter - February 13, 2006 1:46 pm
Thanks Chris! Hadn´t thought of that one...I guess I have been here to long already.
sarah - February 25, 2006 10:39 pm
