On Friday Nov. 10 the Sr. High will be experiencing our first ever "Hot & Cold" event. The very best of what's hot and what's not will be the order of the evening.
The details of the evening are a well guarded secret but this much we can tell you. You will be travelling by luxury 15 passsenger van to an Island location where you will experience the best in what's cold. Bundle up and bring your sneakers! (really your sneakers are essential)
When you have had your fill of cold we'll throw some hot your way, then off for some cold, then some extreme hot followed by a cooling off period.
Make sure to bring along $5/person for the evening, warm clothes, and some cool friends. We'll be leaving the church at 3pm (no school that day) and returning to the church by 9pm.
Let us know you're coming by posting a reply. You may also get a call from an actual, living Solid Rock leader. (how exciting!) Hope to see you all there, and until then...stay cool.

Hmmm, now what is that number I need to dial to get through to Japan?
Good to hear from you Jeff. We will have the automated Jeff bot call you with details on how to fly back in time for the event.
I am looking forward to a full report on the Japanese Arts and Music scene upon your return.

So Dieter, hows the couch holding up? (I think I can trust you more than some people)
Zack Williams - November 3, 2006 8:29 AM
Hey, I'm for-sure going. Sounds like a much better use of my no school day then the sitting, watching TV, MSN-ing, and practicing musical chairs so that the next time we play, I will win, that I had planned for that friday. So yeah, this is a much better idea.
Dennis - November 3, 2006 9:19 AM
Zack.. dude... you really should practice your musical chairs a little more.. You were so close to winning a cake the other night... i think you just lost focus in the final few minutes... You should make musical chairs a daily priority... I know its a lot of work to set it up by yourself, but it will be worth it the next time we have a cake walk.. You could win all of the cakes.. and that.. would.. be... awesome.
Oh, and hi JEFF...
Say something in Japanese...
Andrew - November 4, 2006 8:57 PM
Hey everyone! Just some backup that this HOT & COLD night is assured to be amazing, it receives an unprecedented three thumbs up.(Dennis contributed his thumb for my rating) Keep posting and spreading the news to be there on Friday.
melanie johnston - November 5, 2006 4:17 PM

Dieter - November 7, 2006 5:44 PM
Jeff,
That was awesome...or was that an automated Japanese Reply? Are they further ahead in Robotics than we are on the Island?
Yes the couch is safe for now...although Chris has been looking at it funny...
mercedes jordan - November 7, 2006 9:47 PM
Alyson is going to be there im pretty sure.... i think
im with Ash on the whole are you human thing
Jeff - November 8, 2006 2:07 AM
I've only seen a few robots, but that is becaause I'm in the Idaho of Japan... When I got to kyoto Ill be able to say more, but... They do have some fancy robots. Theres one commercial on TV were the Honda robot and some little kids run in circles.
Chris - November 8, 2006 1:20 PM
The reason I look at the couch funny is that it is one sad piece of junk. Especially now that it is truely falling apart.
Carl and I have already spoken and it's heading to the curb on fall clean-up day. We'll have a nice moment of silence...maybe some flowers... and then pitch the thing! (insert sinister laugh here)
Emily McKenna - November 8, 2006 7:38 PM
I will also being attending Hot and Cold night.
Jeff - November 8, 2006 11:02 PM
Luckily I'll be home by fall cleanup time. So you have the satisfaction of knowing that it made it to the trash.
