Great to see Solid Rockers from the past and present. "Once a Solid Rocker, Always a Solid Rocker" (I just made that up). Tell others about the site and we'll soon have the whole group there.

On Wednesday night we're getting our exercise with another one of our famous, crazy scavenger hunts. I can't give much away but I can tell you that we've never had (and may never again) have one like it. It will be awesome! Make sure you dress for the weather and be prepared to be tested mentally, physically and emotionally (I think there's some bad spelling in that sentence).
On Sunday night our WoW worship service happens at the church at 6:30 and we'll be having Chris' new exciting Blizzard flavour in the Cafe. (I'm always open to your Blizzard flavour suggestions but nothing involving Dill Pickles please)
Make sure you keep May 25-27 open in your calendar for our end of year retreat at Camp Wildwood in New Brunswick. It's been three years since we've been there and it's always the best of times. Never been to Camp Wildwood? Check out their website at www.campwildwood.ca
Our Solid Rock Logo competition has begun. We're looking for a new logo and we'd like your design ideas. Make up a design on paper and if your design is chosen you will win an all expense paid trip to our end of year Camp Wildwood retreat (plus travel snacks) The competiton ends on May 16. It's a light rock week with just two things happening.
On Wednesday night the SRY is dealing with the question of "What Neighbour?". Who am I responsible for, and where do I get the power to do anything about the problems of this world. It will be a creative and interesting look at a famous story that Jesus told. Doors swing open at 6:45.
On Wednesday night we will also be introducing our "design our next great SRY logo" competition. We are in need of a new updated look and we want your help with the design. The winning design will have an all expense paid trip to our end of year retreat at Camp Wildwood (a $75 value!) and the respect of all the known world!
Those going to the Group Workcamp this summer are reminded that there is a meeting this Wednesday at 5:30 in the parlour (the other room).
Congratulations and awesome job to the Banana Productions crew for setting a new Cafe record (well over 300) and having one the best concerts/events ever. The Friday night Cafe offered great music, a great crowd, and a truely great time. Thanx for all your hard work!
The Extol worship group is having their Saturday night worship this week at 9pm in the downstairs hall. It's led by youth and it's a great time so if you ever wondered what worship led by youth looks like...we'll...here's your chance. Carver will give you more details this week at SRY.

Hey there Solid Rockers! It's a full week of some great Rock events and you're gonna to kick yourself if you miss any of it (it is hard to kick yourself though).
On Wednesday night we're looking into the issue of money money money. We'll be giving away money and asking, "how much do I need and can it do any good? Do you know that Jesus spoke more about money/wealth than he spoke about heaven or hell? (interesting....)
On Friday night the Solid Rock Cafe is opening it's doors to a truely awesome night of music. Five great musical acts will be performing in the expanded Cafe. The Bands scheduled to play will be The Danks, Smothered In Hugs, Boxer The Horse, Cascade and Two Hours Traffic. (it's an awesome line-up!). Cafe doors will open at 6pm and this week's Cafe will cost $5/person at the door. (alot more music for a little more money)
On Sunday night the WoW worship service will take place at 6:30. Great worship, great truth, great time.(no Blizzards in the Cafe this week). It's Easter Sunday so we've got lots to celebrate!
Get your homework done, your schedule clear and call your friends because this Wednesday night we're having our first ever Cruise Night in the Solid Rock Youth!
We're celebrating the soon arrival of March Break with a party for everyone (especially for those of us who can't get to go somewhere warm and tropical). The ship sets sail this Wednesday night at 7pm so make sure you dress "tropical" (no swimsuits) and come prepared to have a great time with our experienced and welcoming crew.
On Sunday night join us at 6:30pm for our WoW worship service and fabulous Blizzards in the youth room after the service. John MacMillan will be back in the line-up after a two month break testing out his lungs and using a brand new knee! Come and join us for a great night.
There won't be SRY during the march break so enjoy your week, stay safe and sleep in!
Last week was a quiet or light Rock week. This week there's alot of Rock going on.
On Wednesday we're back in the youth room for a guys/girls teaching night. The guys are dealing with "10 Things Real Guys Need To Know About Being Real Guys". (it's abit of a long title but we're real excitied about the word "real") The girls are dealing with the connection between what we need, who we are, and where do guys fit. No matter what your gender you will have plenty to think and talk about.
Get to the Cafe early and take some time to write a note, a "care card" or Solid Rock Fan Mail. If you don't have an envelope on the wall make sure we know about it! If you don't know what I'm talking about, get to the Cafe and find out.
Those going to Group Workcamp (GWC) have a 5:30 meeting this Wednesday in the parlour (fancy room off the kitchen) as we continue to prepare for our trip to Hoosick Falls this coming summer.
On Friday the Solid Rock Cafe opens it's doors from 6-midnight with the best in live music, and live snacks. The Cafe dates for March are this Friday (the 9th) and then not until Friday March 30th.
On Sunday night at 6:30 there is a family movie night featuring the movie "Facing The Giants". It's a "Remember the Titans" kind of movie with a great message as well. If your family isn't coming don't worry about it, you can join another family for the night.
