Another full week of Solid Rock stuff starting this Wednesday with a "teaching" night. The Jr. High are mud wrestling and talking about friendship and the Sr. High are buidling rockets and talking about "Is Christianity Intelligent?" Good stuff to get get those brains going!

On Friday night the Solid Rock Cafe is open for your business with music, trivia and low fat snacks... all for the low price of just $2. Always a good time in the Cafe!

On Sunday Andrea's Life 2gether Group is running the Clothing Depot for our community friends. (if you've got clothes at home that are not being used bring them along to the Clothing Depot...there are people who need them!). Workers please arrive by 4pm as the doors open and the people flow in at 4:45.

Worthy of Worship service also happens at 6:30 on Sunday night. Lots of great music and great worship. (no make your own Blizzards this week).

Hey it's time for one of the most popular events in Solid Rock history, and this year it lands on Valentine's Day! That's right, it's time for the ever amazing and popular Frenchy's Formal.

Two years ago it began with a simple idea. Get dressed up in some of the most wild and beautiful Frenchy's fashion and act like a bunch of wild and crazy youth. Brillant idea eh? The beauty of it was that it worked! We had an awesome time, took some great pictures, laughed ourselves silly and even worked off some calories!

This Wednesday night we're rolling out the red carpet (we have a real red carpet) at 6:45pm and everything wraps up at 9pm. It's not a date thing so just come along and be prepared to have a great time. There will be fabulous prizes for the best/worst dressed and you can check out the picture gallery from 2005 to get some ideas. See ya on Wednesday!

If you would like to help decorate for the formal a group of us are meeting at the church at 8pm on Tuesday night to hang some balloons and streamers. Everyone is welcome to help!

While some of us are still recovering from 12 hours of Lost Lock-In, others are busy making a whole new Solid Rock week happen.

This Wednesday night we're splitting up. The girls are staying at the church and the guys are leaving the church for some "guy gym time". Both groups will meet and get picked up from the church. Guys, please bring "non marking" sneakers for the gym floor. Whatever your gender we have a fun night planned for you.

On Friday night the Solid Rock Cafe opens it's doors for the very best in live music, trivia and snacks. Cost is just $2, so bring along some friends and hang-out for awhile.

On Sunday night the WoW worship service happens at 6:30 at First Baptist followed by "make your own blizzards" in the youth room. Solid Rock Blizzards are cheaper than Dairy Queen (only $1) and we like to introduce new tastes all the time (I'm currently working on a Roast Chicken flavour)

Oceanic Flight 161 prepares for take-off at 8pm Friday evening. Please enter the terminal from the usual SRY entrance. You will be met there by our friendly Oceanic flight crew and given boarding instructions.

The entire 12 hour flight only costs $10 and this covers all your in-flight snacks and any other needs that you might encounter. Please only bring one bag with you and pillows/blankets are welcome but will have to be checked through security. Please keep all cell phones and Mp3 players at home. We will have an in-flight movie for your entertainment.

Remember that this is a return flight and you will be departing at 8am using the same airline entrance. We know that you will have a pleasurable flight and it will be our priviledge to be able to serve you.

In the event of any mishap or problems be assured that your Oceanic Flight Crew are high trained in all aspects of first aid and survival (not that we are worried about that of course!)
