This Sunday night at 6:30 a bunch of us are going to the worship service here at First. Lots of great music, great people, and a great time thanking God. The service goes until 8pm and then we're heading down to the youth room (the Cafe) for some homemade Blizzards. The whole thing gets done by 8:45. (lots of time to get home for the Amazing Race or Extreme Home Makeover or whatever else)
Hope you can join us for some great Christmas worship, and Blizzards!(what could be better?)
Hey there gang! Thanx so much for the amazing job you did on this year's Senior's dinner. The music, the games, and all the amazing food was a highlight for eveyone who came. Whatever your job was, no matter how big or small it was greatly appreciated!
If your interested in doing some more serving there is another dinner on Sunday night Dec. 17 at the Bascilica Rec. Center. Each year Harvest House has a Christmas Dinner for people in the community and they need servers to help. The dinner is at 4pm and you can call Cathy Atkinson (our youth leader) at 566-5995 if you want to help. This is not a Solid Rock Youth event so make sure to call Cathy if you can help.
The great tradition continues this week with our 16th annual Senior's Dinner (that's alot of turkey baby!)
On Wednesday night we get dressed up abit, make a great meal , and serve it to some really awesome people in our church family. In order to make the whole thing happen we need your help in the following ways:
Bring along a pie (per family) and a loonie (per person). This helps make the meal totally free to our senior's.
Get dressed up abit and come at the time you are needed. Food preparation people come at 4pm, servers and greeters should be there by 5-5:30. Make sure you eat something before you come as we never know if we have enough food for everyone. The meal begins at 6pm and clean-up starts at 7:30. Make sure your folks know to get you at 8:30.
Those helping Chris with the program need to be at the church by 5:30 so you know what games we are playing or when musical groups are performing.
It's gonna be a great night with some great folks!

Many thanx to everyone who hung out with us for our first ever Hot/Cold night on Friday. It was a mixed up night of curling, chilli eating, fire starting, marshmallow throwing, glow stick breaking, neon sign making, dance raving, light show creating, van driving good times. Pictures from the night should make it on the website soon.
We've got a full week or Solid Rock stuff going on starting with Wednesday's night's SRY on the subject of worship. When we think of worship we might think of church services or music (or Mr. Bean.) Is this what worship really is?
On Friday both Kraft Dinner day lunch locations are up and running. Chef Chris serves the Col. Gray crowd and chef Sharon serves the needs of the rather fussy and hard to get along with Rural crowd (they made fun of my Kraft dinner!)
The Solid Rock Cafe is also open for business this Friday night from 6-12 with the very best in live music, trivia and fabulous snacks. Lots to do and lots of great follks to hang out with.
So get with it this week and join us for all the Solid Rock stuff you can handle!
