We're splitting into two groups and two locations this week so make sure to read this so you end up in the right place.
The Jr. High are meeting in the Solid Rock Cafe for a Solid Rock classic "Smugglers" game event. If you've got some pirate stuff to wear, bring it and add to the atmosphere. It's a great game and will be a great night!
The Sr. High are meeting at the MacKenzie's (59 Warburton, off of North River Road) for a night I'm calling the "ABC Magical Mystery Tour". This event will test your creative shopping skills (and that's all I can about that) Sr. High will need to get dropped off and picked up from the MacKenzies.
So... know your place, know your stuff, and get ready for a great time!
I hope that by today your parents have received their letter telling them all about the summer 2006 trips we have planned. There are two trips for the Jr. High (Challenge & Tidal Impact) as well as the Sr. High trips (Challenge, Group Workcamp and Wilderness Adventure).
Each trip allows you to get to know yourself, those you are with, and God who created us. I hope that you will make sure to sign up as soon as possible as space is limited and the first who sign up get the chance to go. We planned five trips so that everyone gets a chance to have an awesome experience this summer...so get involved people!
If your parents have not received a letter please send us an email with your mailing address and we'll get a letter to you this week.

The Solid Rock Youth are hosting the worship service at First Baptist this Sunday. Music (by our own worship team), pictures, and stories from youth and will all be combined to create a time where God is honoured, and worshiped. Service begins at 10:45.
We'd love you to join us this Sunday as a member of our group. Members of the worship team will be meeting at 9am and the rest of us need to arrive at the front of the church by 10am. The more the better, and leaders are asked to jump in too.
It's going to be a good time so get with it, and see ya on Sunday!
Hey there everyone and welcome to another week of Solid Rockin'.
This Wednesday (Nov.16) in the Cafe brace yourselves for our usual, "unusual" mix of stuff meant to build your faith, and have some fun. The topic this week is "Owning Your Faith" led by leader Dan. Doors open at 6:30 and come early for some great live music. Last week's musical guest was Joe MacMillan, this week...who knows?
This Sunday the Solid Rock Youth are leading the worship service at First Baptist so we need you to help us out! Youth will be playing, leading the music, singing the songs, sharing faith stories, telling children's stories, showing highlights from our activities and doing anything else that will bring glory to God in a creative, energetic way. The service beings at 10:45 and we want all the youth to sit together in the front of the church. Come out, support one another and worship together!
This week's Trivia question is all about music, which is a subject very near and dear to many Solid Rockers!
The following famous collection of people all appeared together on the same musical album. Marilyn Munroe, Shirley Temple, Marlon Brando, Tony Curtis, Mae West, Fred Astaire and Bob Dylan. What was the album, and what band managed to bring them all together?
Winner will be announced this Wednesday night.
