Hey there! It's a busy week in the SRY with our 17th annual Senior's Dinner on Wednesday (6-7:30pm) and the Jr. High Drop-In on Friday. (7-10pm)
On Wednesday we need you all on your crews to make sure things get done. Please come at the times listed. Set-Up crew on Tuesday at 7pm. On Wednesday the kitchen help/Program crews come at 5:15, the greeters also come at 5:15, The servers/coffee/tea crews at 5:30. If you don't know what crew you are on please come at 5:30. Also, bring along a pie, eat supper before you come, and dress up abit. All crews will be done clean-up by 8pm.
Wednesday is also the last day to bring in your money for the Eastleigh Community Center (Kenya) Christmas gift which is being used for sports equipment. The Jr. Hgh are ahead of the Sr High.
On Friday (Dec 12) the Jr. High Drop-In takes place at the church from 7-10pm. Games/trivia, canteen and lots of fun. Bring along $2 to get in and also some extra cash for the canteen.

This Wed. (Dec 3) is our SRY Christmas Party, with Christmas games and our annual gift exchange (please bring a wrapped $2 gift). Also bring along your money to support the Eastleigh Community Center (in Kenya).
On Dec. 10 its our annual Senior's Dinner. It's a free turkey dinner for the older generation in our community. We prepare all the food, and have games/music for everyone. It's a great time and the meal goes from 6-7:30. All youth are to bring along a pie which we provide for desert.

Dec 19 or 20: SRY Cafe from 6-midnight.

This Wednesday (Nov 26) were having lessons in "survival" and bringing back one of the lost requested SRY games in our history (we haven't played it in 5 years!) Doors open at 6:45.
On Friday night the SR Cafe has another night of great live music. Doors open from 6-midnight for only $2.

This Wednesday Is Solid Rock Doc Night!

That's right everyone it's gonna be another Solid Rock theme night and this time we celebrate the medical profession with Solid Rock Doc Night.
Come dressed in your scrubs (very comfortable!) and get four years of medical training in just one night! Baby delivery, x-rays, broken bones, surgery and organ transplants are just a few of the things that you will be able to experience...amazing!
Come along, bring your friends and we'll supply the rubber gloves...snap!
Also don't forget that this Friday (7-9pm) we're having our first Jr. High Drop-In of the season. Only $2 for all the fun you handle and bring along some extra $ for the canteen.
On Saturday night Sarah Kelly is having a concert here at the church as a charity for the Island Crisis Pregnancy Centre. Sarah is a grammy nominated musician/singer from Chicago with an awesome sound and personality. Concert begins at 7pm and tickets are $10 at the door (but this Wed only they are just $5...we'll kick in the extra $5...just because we love you!)

Hey there! This Wednesday night (Nov 12) we're back with another creative night of Solid Rockness. Doors open at 6:45 and this week the door prize is a ticket to the upcoming Sarah Kelly concert on Nov. 22 (a $10 value)
Last week the SRY elected their first ever president and history has already been made by having co-presidents and both female (shocking!) It was a very tense, chaotic, and nail biting election with four alka-seltzer tablets determining the winner (we're not into voting). We'll have pictures of our new presidents next week.

SRY To Elect A President!

Yes it's true the SRY is getting on the election bandwagon and is searching for a president for 2008-2009. This Wednesday night it will all happen between 6:50-7:35 (not a two year process like our American friends!)
Along with electing a president we will also share some truth, some laughs, some worship and a new opportunity to help our fellow youth at the Eastleigh Community Center in Kenya.

Tailgate Party!

This week (Oct 8 from 7-9pm) the SRY are having our first ever "Tailgate Party" at the Colonel Gray staff parking lot (next to the soccer field). It's a night of games, snacks (BBQ hotdogs!) and fun in the great urban outdoors. Please bring along your favourite team jersey, some friends and dress warm. Please make sure to get dropped off and picked up from Col Gray.
This Friday the SR Cafe opens its doors to the ever popular song writer's circle. From 6-midnight, just $2 and some really great local music.

Grad Supper & Workcamp Yardsale

Hey there Solid Rockers! What a blast at Mudblast this weekend! You can check out the pictures on the Facebook site "Solid Rock Youth Charlottetown". It was a great time and many thanx to all the youth and leaders that made it all happen!
This Wednesday night is Grad Supper Night where all the grade 12's are treated to a meal to honour their graduation. Meal begins at 6pm at Mackenzie's, then the church, then over to the Austins for desert and campfire. Things will come to a close from there at 9pm.
The Group Workcamp crew is less than a month away from their trip to Rhode Island and this Saturday they are having a Yard Sale from the church from 9-12. All workcampers need to watch their emails for times to be there.
